___...where my father once walked --Photo exhibition [Hajdú László 1956-os fotóiból nyílt kiállítás]___Back
The Capital City Ervin Szabó Library and the 1956 Institute cordially invite you to the exhibition entitled

...where my father once walked

The opening ceremony will take place in the Small Gallery of the Central Library (Budapest VIII., Reviczky utca 3.)

12 noon, October 15, 2001.
The exhibition will be opened by János M. Rainer, Director of the 1956 Institute.

„When I am here, I know for certain that my father once walked here as well. His experiences live on in me. The earlier images and scenes in the streets that he once photographed are borne within me as a secret when I stroll through Budapest. Now I reveal them to you.”
Sue Hajdu

László Hajdú left Hungary in December 1956 and settled in Australia. In 2000, he travelled to Budapest with his photographer daughter to revisit the venues that he had photographed in 1956, during the days of the revolution. His photographs are being exhibited in Hungary for the first time.

The exhibition can be viewed from October 18, 2001 to November 9, 2001.
